Privacy Policy
Last updated: 6 October 2026
This policy explains what data the dscpln app collects, why, and what you can do about it. We keep it short and collect only what the app needs to work.
Who we are
dscpln is made by Ahmed Ibrahim Abdallah, trading as TechLoops, Clermont-Ferrand, France. We are the data controller. Contact: support@dscpln.app.
What we collect
- Account: your email address and sign-in details.
- Profile: the name you choose and your onboarding answers (goals, topics, tone, reminder time).
- Activity: lines you save, collections, streaks and lines you write in the app.
- Ask Milo: the messages you send to Milo and Milo’s replies.
- Notifications: a push token for your device, if you turn notifications on.
- Technical data: app version, device type and error information needed to keep the app running.
What stays on your phone
Audio files you add to dscpln are stored only on your device. We never upload them.
How we use it
- To run your account and show your daily lines.
- To personalise lines to the goals you picked.
- To answer your Ask Milo questions.
- To send the reminders you turn on.
- To keep the app secure and fix problems.
We do not sell your data. We do not show ads. We do not track you across other apps or websites.
AI features
When you use Ask Milo, your message is sent to an AI model through OpenRouter, which passes it to the model provider (for example OpenAI) to write a reply. Don’t share sensitive personal details in Milo chats. Milo’s answers are generated by AI, can be wrong, and are not medical, legal or financial advice.
The daily stories and images in dscpln are generated once for all users. They are not made from your personal data.
Who processes data for us
- Supabase: database and sign-in.
- OpenRouter and the AI model providers it uses: Ask Milo replies.
- Expo: delivering push notifications.
- Apple and Google: app distribution and, if you use them, sign-in.
- Cloudflare: this website and our support email.
Some of these providers process data outside the European Union. When they do, the transfer is protected by safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
Legal bases (GDPR)
- Contract: to provide the app you signed up for.
- Consent: for notifications, which you can turn off at any time.
- Legitimate interest: to keep the app secure and working.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account exists. When you delete your account, we delete your data within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep something longer.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, export or delete your data, and you can object to or limit how we use it. Write to support@dscpln.app. We reply within 30 days. You can also complain to the CNIL (cnil.fr), the French data protection authority.
